This article walks through the connection step by step. On a free trial, the account itself must also be verified before assistants can connect.\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EA Claude account on any plan. Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise all support custom connectors; Free plans are limited to one. On Team and Enterprise plans, only an Owner can add a connector, after which anyone in the organization can connect their own DailyStory login to it.\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EAI assistant connections turned on for your DailyStory account. They are on by default; an administrator can check under \u003Cb\u003ESettings \u0026gt; Login and Permissions \u0026gt; Connected Apps\u003C/b\u003E.\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EThe DailyStory MCP server URL is the URL when logged in to DailyStory with \u003Cb\u003E/mcp\u003C/b\u003E, e.g. https://us-1.dailystory.com/mcp. \u003Cb\u003ENote your URL may be different\u003C/b\u003E. \u003C/li\u003E\u003C/ul\u003E\u003Ccite class=\u0022important\u0022\u003E\u003Cspan class=\u0022title\u0022\u003ENo API key needed\u003C/span\u003E\u003Cp\u003EYou connect by signing in to DailyStory and approving what Claude may access. DailyStory API keys cannot be used with MCP, and you never paste a password or key into Claude.\u003C/p\u003E\u003C/cite\u003E\u003Ch2 id=\u0022add_dailystory_to_claude\u0022\u003EAdd DailyStory to Claude\u003C/h2\u003E\u003Cp\u003EThese steps are for Claude on the web (claude.ai). Connectors are shared with the Claude desktop and mobile apps, so you only need to do this once.\u003C/p\u003E\u003Col\u003E\u003Cli\u003EIn Claude, open \u003Cb\u003ESettings\u003C/b\u003E and choose \u003Cb\u003EConnectors\u003C/b\u003E.\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EClick \u003Cb\u003EAdd custom connector\u003C/b\u003E. On Team and Enterprise plans this option is in the organization\u0027s connector settings and is available to Owners.\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EEnter \u003Cb\u003EDailyStory\u003C/b\u003E as the name and paste the DailyStory MCP server URL into the URL field. Leave the advanced settings empty.\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EClick \u003Cb\u003EAdd\u003C/b\u003E. DailyStory now appears in your list of connectors.\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EClick \u003Cb\u003EConnect\u003C/b\u003E next to DailyStory. A DailyStory sign-in window opens.\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003ESign in with your DailyStory username and password, exactly as you would in the DailyStory app.\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EReview the permissions Claude is asking for and click \u003Cb\u003EAllow\u003C/b\u003E. The first time Claude uses a tool in a chat it may ask you to allow it; you can allow it for the rest of that chat.\u003C/p\u003E\u003Ccite class=\u0022important\u0022\u003E\u003Cspan class=\u0022title\u0022\u003EYou confirm every send\u003C/span\u003E\u003Cp\u003EClaude never sends to your contacts on its own. It shows what Claude can access, when it was connected and when it was last used. Click \u003Cb\u003ERevoke\u003C/b\u003E to disconnect immediately. Administrators can see and revoke every user\u0027s connections under \u003Cb\u003ESettings \u0026gt; Login and Permissions \u0026gt; Connected Apps\u003C/b\u003E.\u003C/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003ETo remove the connector from Claude instead, open \u003Cb\u003ESettings \u0026gt; Connectors\u003C/b\u003E, find DailyStory and choose \u003Cb\u003ERemove\u003C/b\u003E. Existing connections are kept and start working again when it is turned back on.\u003C/td\u003E\u003C/tr\u003E\u003Ctr\u003E\u003Ctd\u003EClaude can read data but will not create or schedule anything\u003C/td\u003E\u003Ctd\u003EEither you did not approve the authoring or scheduling permissions when connecting, or your DailyStory user lacks the matching permission (manage content, send email, send text messages). Reconnect and approve the permission, or ask an administrator to update your user.\u003C/td\u003E\u003C/tr\u003E\u003Ctr\u003E\u003Ctd\u003EClaude asks you to sign in again\u003C/td\u003E\u003Ctd\u003EThe connection expired after 30 days without use, or it was revoked in DailyStory.
