There are multiple ways to make a contact inactive....Inactive contacts do not count against your subscription limits, but will take 60 days past the last contact via DailyStory to reflect the change and license numbers.
You may have contacts that are inactive which you wish to prevent getting "reactivated"....These can include contacts that are deceased, people who have completely opted out of any communication, or other options....Furthermore, inactive contacts do not count towards license limits....To import contacts as inactive, prepare a normal import....At the bottom under Advanced Options, toggle the option to import the records as inactive:
Managing Contact Opt-in and Opt-out Preferences
Max Contact Frequency is a global optout of all communication for a number of days.
The max contact frequency is set by either editing the contact and setting a max contact frequency or when the contact modifies their subscription preferences.
When viewing a contact, scroll to the bottom section "Opt out and Do Not Contact" and click the "Edit" button on Max Contact Frequency. If a contact has a max contact frequency date it will be shown here.
In the example above the contact cannot be sent email, SMS, etc. more than once every 30 days.
