Creating custom contact fields
To create a new custom field, click on the Create Field button:
The page displays the Add custom field popup....Enter the required information to create a new custom contact field and click on the Add button....To understand the fields in this box, refer to the next section.
Editing and arranging custom contact fields
To edit custom fields, select Contacts > Manage Fields from the main navigation bar....From the Customer Contact Fields list, click on the name of the field to edit its properties....You can change the field name, add or remove items from the Pick list, or update whether or not the field is included in exports....Note: The only time you can set the field to be Indexed (searchable) is when it's created.
Sample custom field configuration
In the following sample configuration, a new custom contact field called Response Frequency is being created....The data type assigned to the new custom contact field is Text and the Pick list feature is applied....Three Pick list values are added to the custom field....As a result, these options are available when the custom field is used as a search criterion or when creating and editing contact information.
