When you bring an email from Claude into DailyStory with Build with Claude, DailyStory checks that it's built the way the Email Designer expects. If anything is wrong, DailyStory lists every problem and doesn't create the email, so you never end up with a half-working email in your account. This article explains how to fix those problems. To get started with Claude, see Build Emails with Claude.
The fastest fix is to let Claude correct its own work:
Each problem says where it is, for example container[1] > column[0] > Button, which means the button in the second row of the email. Claude uses this to find and fix the right part of the email.
The file isn't a DailyStory email design. This usually means Claude wrote an ordinary HTML email without using the DailyStory email skill. Check the skill is installed and turned on in Claude, then ask Claude to "rebuild this email using the DailyStory email skill."
Claude produced a complete web page instead of a DailyStory design. Ask Claude to use the DailyStory email skill and to give you only the email rows, with styles inline.
A button has no link, or links to #. Tell Claude where the button should go, or ask it to use your website address.
An image has no picture. Give Claude the web address of the image, for example one copied from your File Manager.
Every DailyStory email needs an unsubscribe link to comply with anti-spam law. Ask Claude to use the standard DailyStory footer. See the CAN-SPAM Compliance Guide.
The file doesn't include a subject line. Type one into the Subject field in the Build with Claude window, or ask Claude to add it to the file.
The HTML editor is for hand-written HTML. Pasting an email from Claude there removes the information the designer needs to recognize its widgets, and the email can't be edited in the designer afterwards. Always use Build with Claude.
Make sure you have the latest DailyStory email skill; the version history is in Build Emails with Claude. If the problem continues, contact DailyStory support with the list of problems and the file from Claude.
