Exporting a segment once gives you a snapshot. A scheduled segment export keeps your team and downstream systems working from current data. It delivers a downloadable link of the segment's members to one or more DailyStory users every day, week or month.
Paid accounts onlyScheduled segment exports are available on paid accounts. See Upgrading Your Subscription.
When you schedule an export, you choose the segment, the contact fields to include, how often it sends and who receives it. On each scheduled run, DailyStory exports the segment's current members to a CSV file and emails each recipient a download link. Recipients sign in to DailyStory to download the file, so contact data stays behind your account's login. For a dynamic segment, each file reflects the members at the time of that run.
Include only the fields the recipient needs. Exports with fewer fields produce smaller files that are easier to share and process.
Recipients are emailed a link to download the export and must sign in to DailyStory to download it. For that reason, each recipient must be an existing user in your DailyStory account. You can't send to email addresses outside the account. To send the export to someone new, add them as a user first.
Scheduled segment exports are sent with your report subscriptions:
| Frequency | When it sends |
|---|---|
| Daily | Every day |
| Weekly | Every Monday |
| Monthly | The first day of each month |
You can change the frequency or turn off a scheduled export at any time from Account Settings > Personal Settings > Subscriptions. See Report Subscriptions.
